Ma Résidence - Tellin

We have taken into account all your requests and remarks you made while visiting our guest house and guest rooms in Tellin in order to establish our guest house in Flayosc, in the heart of the French Provence. Comfort and possibility of activities have been the leading ideas in the set up of this country home which we are pleased to introduce to you.

In the country of sunshine and lavender, in the heart of the Var, L’Espigaou is a recently built villa with plenty of space and comfort, which is located on a small country road 2 kilometers from the village of Flayosc. This ideal situation combines the proximity of the shops with the tranquility of the countryside.

In a vast garden filled with olive trees and lavender bushes, on the edge of forest and a small vineyard, this guest house offers 4 large bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate 10 people (1 baby bed is also available – without linen):

• The master bedroom with a 180 cm wide bed and its private bathroom (bath)
• The ocher room, on the first floor, with its 180 cm wide bed, has a covered terrace where it is pleasant to read or relax in the shade
• The children’s bedroom equipped with a bunk bed and trundle bed (4 people in total). This room shares with the ocher room a comfortable bathroom (large shower) and a separate toilet.
• The Suite, with its separate entrance for a maximum of intimacy, has two separate beds and its own bathroom (bath, shower and toilet).

It is with the same guidelines that we have decorated the fully equipped kitchen (oven, micro waves, dish washer, two fridges), the dining room and the living room (Hi-Fi equipment, television with satellite, permanent internet connection). An additional toilet and a back kitchen (storage, washing machine and laundry) complete the interior.

To enable you to fully benefit from the tranquility of the surroundings and the privileged climate of the French Riviera, we have paid particular attention to landscaping the grounds.
Many terraces will allow you to choose where you wish to dine or rest, bathing in the sun or in the shade, listening to the songs of the cicadas and the birds. On the main terrace a barbecue will guarantee a festive and relaxed atmosphere.
The 8 by 5 meters swimming pool, on a slightly lower level than the villa, is equipped with a security device. A large pool patio and the many sun beds will most certainly invite you to relax.

There are many possibilities in the immediate vicinity of the villa (the Var is one of “the” favourite tourist destinations). Many walks are signposted in this region which is also the second most forested in France.
The typical village of Flayosc - http://www.ville-flayosc.fr – built on the top of a hill, invites you to contemplate the view towards the “massif des Maures”. Its market square in the shade of old trees has a variety of “cafés” and restaurants where it is always pleasant to partake in the local tradition of the “aperitif”, and/or to dine.

With 300 days of sunshine per year, the French Riviera offers a quality of life and a very relaxed atmosphere. Many of the villages close by (Tourtour, Sillans-la-Cascade, Le Thoronet - http://www.provenceweb.fr) or slightly further away (Moustier St. Marie, Aups, Grasse, Saint Paul de Vence) are places not to be missed. It is always worth going there while the “marchés” are on. Always picturesque and busy, the “marchés de Provence” are an occasion to touch, feel and taste local products. These markets are worth a visit for the pleasure to see and discover, but also to find good quality products.

The Coast: Close to Flayosc (45 Kms), the coast of the Var region is really not like any other : Along its 430 kms of coastline, sand beaches with quiet creeks and pine trees. Known and renowned sea resorts are numerous and give its reputation to the whole area: Bandol, Hyères les Palmiers, Bormes les Mimosas, Le Lavandou, Sainte-Maxime, Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël.
Do not miss the Queen of Resorts, St-Tropez, which is not only the place to see and be seen, but is also a wonderful and unique shopping town. The ladies will enjoy it while for you, gentlemen, the walk along the quays of the old port and its incredible yachts will please you. If you are very lucky, you might even have the chance to see a cinema “starlette”.

At a short driving distance from the house to the north, the lake of “Sainte-Croix” is the entrance gate to the well known gorges du Verdon - http://www.net-verdon.com. These gorges have a total length of 21 kilometers and are a unique sight in Europe. Their width varies from 6 to 100 m and, from top to bottom the height varies between 200 and 1500 m. An ideal destination for those of you who enjoy hiking.

Numerous other sporting activities are organized at a short distance from Flayosc. The villa is easy to reach:
By car: 15 Km from the Autoroute du Soleil, Exit St-Tropez
By Rail: 10 Km for the Arcs-sur-Argens TGV train station
By plane: 1 hour from Nice, Toulon or Marseille airports.

The minimum period of rent is one week. It starts the Saturday at 05.00 pm and finishes on the following Saturday at 10 am.
